Excerpt of Korea Trip Diary (Last Day)

Currently on the airport railroad to Incheon international airport. I remember 5 days ago I was on this train heading towards Hong-Ik University. Wasn’t able to wipe the smile and excitement off my face, thinking of all the adventurous things I would do, checking into a hostel that was booked on a whim, being alone, and just mere happiness! And now on the same train different direction and the emotions are completely different. I’m not depressed per se, but I’m definitely not excited, not keen on the idea of my destination being Hong Kong International Airport. To the point where I just want to breathe in and absorb every little things of Korea. When I walked to the airport railroad, instead of going underground through line 2, the covered route, I walked outside in the cold. Instead of putting earphones on while on the train, I’m not. I want to listen to every Korean word I can, listen to people’s conversations that I don’t understand! Even they are all very polite, they’d whisper or cover their mouth while talking in the train. When I was waiting for the train at Hong Ik station, I was trying to list out things that needs to be done when I’m in hong kong. First things popped up was, buy a learn Korean and French book. I’ve never been into K-pop/ J-pop, but I really like the Korean culture so far and the experience I’ve had. Therefore I want to learn their language and be back again soon. I’ve been to Japan, but to me, it’s eh….maybe I just need to go by myself to experience it the way I’ve experienced Korea.
